This Privacy Policy describes how Care Align ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our platform. By using Care Align, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Care Align is a provider discovery and referral platform. Our purpose is to help patients find and connect with healthcare providers based on non-clinical preferences such as location, specialty, insurance, and care style. We are not a healthcare provider, insurer, or medical service.

Account information: When you sign in via Manus OAuth, we receive basic profile information including your name and email address.

Intake preferences: To generate provider matches, we collect non-clinical preference data including your ZIP code or city, desired specialty, insurance carrier, preferred appointment timing, and care style preferences (e.g., communication style, visit pace). We do not ask for or store symptoms, diagnoses, medical history, treatments, medications, or any clinical health information.

Provider profile data: If you register as a provider, we collect your professional credentials, practice location, specialty, and booking information.

Usage data: We collect standard web analytics data such as pages visited, referral clicks, and session information to improve the platform.

Care Align is intentionally designed to minimize the collection of sensitive health information. Specifically, we do not collect or store:

• Symptoms or health complaints
• Diagnoses or medical conditions
• Treatment history or current medications
• Medical records or clinical notes
• Insurance claim data or billing information

Any health-related information you share with a provider after being referred is governed by that provider's own privacy practices, not ours.

We use the information we collect to:

• Generate and display provider matches based on your stated preferences
• Maintain your referral history and search history within the platform
• Allow providers to manage their profiles and track referral analytics
• Improve the platform's matching accuracy and user experience

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising targeting.

When you click "Book Appointment" on a provider profile, you are redirected to that provider's external scheduling system. Care Align does not host, process, or store any booking information. The provider's own privacy policy governs any information you submit during the booking process.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party provider websites or scheduling systems.

Care Align is designed with a privacy-first approach. Our platform is built to minimize the collection of sensitive health data. The current version of the platform does not engage in workflows that would constitute handling of Protected Health Information (PHI) as defined under HIPAA.

If the platform expands in the future to include PHI-handling workflows (such as clinical data exchange or direct EHR integration), we will update this policy and implement appropriate safeguards accordingly.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Upon verified request, we will delete your personal information from our active systems, subject to any legal retention requirements.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
